Having more Video memory, where does it shines. I know
it helps in Hi Res with High color.
DVD writter
Are they still use only Red laser to burn. If they do, that mean its only do the single layer. WHich is half of Totat DVD capcity.

Dual channel means that it uses 2 64-bit memory controllers, theoretically providing double the memory bandwidth, but in practice (with AMD machines) the performance increase isn't all that great.
With Intel machines, there is a bigger gain, check the Anandtech front page on searching for the memory holy grail.

AGP 8x gives double the AGP bandwidth of AGP 4x, but with current cards, it doesn't provide much benefit, if any at all, and is not necessary.

DVD writers can only do single layer DVD's, and they do use red larers AFAIK.
Dual format +- drives, are good as it means maximum compatability.
The layer thing doesn't have to do with the laser, as industry DVD's are pressed, not burnt in the way home users make them IIRC, and the laser couldn't write 2 different layers, I think.

BlueRay will be the next change, to blue lasers I think, hence the name, and will give up to something like 27GB on a disc (not sure if that's in a single layer).

The speed of the video card matters much more than the AGP mode.

Memory on a video card shines when you play games at higher resoltions, or with FSAA and other pieces of eye candy on. The more the video card has to render at once, the more having enough memory on it matters.
