I try turning on my computer and it turns on for literally a nanosecond my watercooling resevoir LED lights up and I hear the fans start to spin and it turns off right away.

Is this a PSU issue?

in order to determine if it's a psu issue, we're going to need your system specs and psu model. Thanks!

The chances of that being the case is more probable than a psu issue, that is a pretty good one.

None of the ram is bad.
I really think it is the PSU.

Not sure what else to try

Tried the ram

Probably either PSU or motherboard if it's that early in the power-up sequence.

Unless it's a problem connection like a fan header or power cable/switch, then it'll require replacement parts to troubleshoot.

There is nothing really that you can do if you don't have replacements for all your components... do you have someone that lives near you that would lend you an 850w psu?

Get a grip.... His supply is more than adequate....

I'm guessing two things.... First locate the CMOS Jumper and Clear it...

Second Check for how are you telling the board that the CPU fan is running ?? check that whole loop.... If that isn't it....

Then Maybe the PSU....How Old is the PSU ? Some Of The Early OCZ supplies had issues....

I checked and now the light just turns on no fans spin
I see the motehrboard PCB Light come on when it' feeding it power when I hit the power button the LED on the mobo goesd

It seems that the psu is dead or something

You could always check both the power supplies with the paperclip test.

as earlier stated clear the CMOS read in your manual to properly do it

Try running the system with minimal hardware to try to distinguish the problem.

It wont start period.
Not even with just the power supply plugged into the mobo.

Can't reset CMOS if it turns off before post, milliseconds.

K try this. unplug everything, EVERYTHING from the PSU except for the mobo and the graphics card. Unplug all the fans and any cards except for the graphics card from the mobo. See if it turns on then. If it does, then you have a short someplace. Start plugging on thing in at a time until you find the culprit. If it doesn't fix it, pull the mobo from the case and try again to see if something is shorting the mobo to the case. Check for loose screws that could be doing that.

sounds like it is your motherboard than did you do the paperclip test on your power supplies?

Fan speed sensor for the cpu I'm thinking. Your water cooling setup, does it have a way of simulating a fan speed for the motherboard? Or do you have the fan speed detection disabled? I had a Thermaltake water cooling kit where the pump actually plugged into the three pin fan header on the motherboard and pulled it's power from there. The pump died on me and the pc immediately shut off and would power on for a second when i tried turning it back on, then it would switch off again. The pump was fairly noisy so I noticed it had stopped working when I tried powering on the machine. Swapped the water block and pump out for the old HSF and it booted up fine for me.

Dear AMC rambler

Yes it does do that but my pump is in great condition and is showing no sign of wear...
Hmm.

misread
my pum doesn't poug into my 3 pin, it plugs into a 4 pin and uses a molexd to get powered, i don't know what the heck is causing this but it's ticking me off since I bought a core 2 and a 2.4ghz core 2 duo with smoe awesome corsair ram to only be disappointed with the same F'ING ERROR

you reset the CMOS with a Jumper and DO NOT turn the computer on to do this it is done by the little CMOS bat. Try that refer to your manual or look for the little cirle bat and find the jumper by it prob on a 3 prong which you move to the other 1,2 for a second and it resets

That prob wont fix anything but try this...

Unhook everything put a fan on the cpu if you can cause need to rule out the Water setup. Try just motherboard, cpu w/HSfan 1 video card and 1 stick memory if it doesnt work then try each stick of memory solo also try other video card. If none of that works you need to test your chip somehow (another MB)

It could be any number of things including user error... i have had this happen and had to take everything apart and go piece by piece ... but its all about process of eliminatiion so calm down, take your time, and everything will be ok.

Also read your MB manual front to back. You may be missing a jumper or something ... any number of things

And i know how frustrating this is to ya. I always seem to get a bad MB but i go cheap lol... and you did or do not i dunno
