I have a Velocity Micro Computer and these are the specs
Power Supply 500 Watt Velocity Micro? Power Supply with Dual Blue Lighted Fans
Motherboard Asus® P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe - NVIDIA® nForce? 4 SLI MCP, PCI Express Motherboard with DDR2
Processor Intel® Core? 2 Duo processor E6400, dual 2.13GHz cores
DDR2 Memory 1024MB Corsair? XMS2 DDR2-800 Low Latency CL4 Extreme Memory with Heat Spreader (2x512)
400GB Western Digital 4000YR 7200rpm SATA/150
500GB Seagate
Something happened in the middle of the night to my computer. When I looked at my computer the monitor screen was frozen. So I turned the computer off and restarted. However no signal was sent to my my monitor. It remained blank. I took out my older computer to check to see if the monitor was working and it was fine. So I plugged my main computer back in and I hear this buzzing noise. Its not coming from the harddrives. Everything turns on in my computer, one thing that I did notice was that the DVD player and CD player LED lights contantly flash and I can't open drives. I opened up my computer and unhooked the connection to my DVD/CD players and then buzzing noise stopped and then I could also open the drives. The motherboard light is on, all the fan lights and the CPU turn on so I'm not exactly sure what the problem is but I am thinking that perhaps its is the Graphics Card? I was going to take it to Best Buy since they have a Geek store that will diagnose problems but I know that they will try to sell my crap that I don't need so I kind of want to have an ideal of what will need to be fixed on my computer so that they won't try to sell me something I don't need.
Can anyone help me troubleshoot the problem before I take it there?
I imagine thats its either the motherboard or the graphics card. If I should need to replace either what should i get?
