Just recently my computer has been randomly turning off and then my CD-ROM light blinks green on and off with no CD in the CD-ROM. Sometimes the computer doesn?t fully turn off and just terminates signal to my monitor, because I can hear my fans and see the optical mouse still having power. The computer turns off when it?s idle also with no programs running. I?m not sure which hardware component is causing this. I don?t think heat is issues because I?ve placed a floor fan up to it to keep it really cool, and it still shuts down. And also I don?t have automatic heat shutdown enabled in my BIOS. The frustrating part is that I don receive any error messages when this happens. The motherboard, processor, ram, and PSU are only about 1 year old. I keep the case pretty clean inside so dust doesn?t build up and kill my fans. I have been using my 350Watt PSU ever since I got this a year ago and it has caused me no problems. Do you have any idea of what might be causing my computer to act this way?
