I just finished building this system.
Mobo - Asus P4B266
CPU - INTEL P4 1.8A 400mhz 512L2 Cache
Video - Geforce 4 Ti4400
Power - Enermax 365Watt
Memory - Corsair 512 MB PC2100
The problem that I'm running into is that my computer won't start up. When I press the power button I see couple of fans in the case move and the fan for the Video card move for about a second, than it just completely stops. This happens everytime I turn off and turn on the power from the Power Supply. I know there is power going into the mobo, because there's a light on the mobo and it's turned on.
With that in mind I thought it could only be 4 things, power supply, memory, cpu, and mobo.
I went and exchange the mobo for a MSI and plugged everything back in, but no luck and again only some fans moving. I first had purchased a mushkin memory and changed it to corsair, still no luck. I tested the CPU on another computer and it worked fine. I tested a 250 Watt Power Supply with still no luck.
There's only 3 things I can think of that is the problem. 1) Not enough power in the power supply? (highly doubt it) 2) The mobo has conflicts witht he CPU??? 3) Video Card is does not fit on the Asus mobo?
Any advices, suggestions will be more than appreciated. I hope to get my system working ASAP.
