I am not questioning your timeline.

It is just that some may look at the 52 minutes from when they had their hands on him.

If he was not diectly where the bomb came in; the concussion would have damaged him and/or possibly something collaped on him.

Not knowing the size of the building and as you stated, where he actually was when the explosives hit prevents arm-chair quarterbacking.

Actually, inside a concrete structure, he could very well survive the initial explosion (for an hour in this case), regardless if it was direct or not, he wasn't in the open, it just depends on the physics of his position in the building.

Not necessarily...things don't blow up in real life the way they do in the movies and games featuring the Havoc physics engine.

The initial blast could have very easily blown him through a window or out a gaping hole in the building...much like how passengers not wearing seatbelts are thrown from vehicles that tip or roll over...the shock of the impact from being projected in such a manner could very easily have caused the internal injuries that reportedly caused his death...without necessarily causing any disfigurement to his body.

ya, they do tend to use Hollywood as their inspiration for a lot of things, that's for sure. After all, we have civilians here attempting to analyze and hypothesize the effects of 500 lb bombs on Iraqi architecture and the human body... talk about clueless conjecture! it's actually pretty funny sometimes... i often bring colleagues into my room to read some of it for a good laugh or two. the nuts here at P&N have become quite infamous in my class.
