Actually I agree it's nothing more than a theory as I haven't anymore insight into the way Al Qaeda acts than you do. I am also not a Lib but I will admit that I'm not a dye in the wool Ultra Conservative Bush Apologist.

Ok..so another Asshole just steps to the front to take his place. Gee..I wonder why they hate us so much? It wouldn't I presume have anything to do with our believe that everybody should model there society after ours ..would it? Ya..we (or most) beleive our way is the way to go. But good lord..there are billions of people on this earth...we cant and shouldnt try to convert them all. I have no problem with eliminating real threats to our way of life and safeguarding our borders..but we seem to cross the line way too often. At 59 yrs of age I lament over the loss of the presious lives of our young men and women for people that hate us so much and would never come to our cause if we needed them.

Since you apparently believe in the wisdom of this war, perhaps you could fill me in on what good is likely to come out of it, in your opinion. It seems as if eliminating Saddam's embryonic nuclear arsenal is not going to be a benefit. I, for one, am not expecting Iraq to become a parliamentary democracy along the lines of Great Britain, and if they become a democracy along the lines of the Palestinian authority it is not clear whether that is a good thing, from the point of view of our national interest. (See my ruminations earlier in this thread on al-Sadr, if you need help interpreting that comment.) Killing a terrorist here and there is good sport, but do you think our presence in Iraq is increasing or reducing the number of terrorists? I am sorry if I sound exasperated -- it is probably because I am. If there is some good that can come out of this war, I would really like to hear about it, because like many Americans I am increasingly downhearted about the wasted lives and squandered money.

Yep, Iraq is turning the corner! (again)

When Saddam is removed.

When Saddam is captured.

When the Iraqi?s vote the first time.

When Iraq?s vote the second time.

When Iraqi?s vote the third time.

When a National Government is formed.

When Al-Zarqawi is killed or captured.

And actually it is the warmongering fools who have lost touch besides the bubble of their lying media that is keeping kool-aid drinkers like you lost.

You dont get out much nowdays do you?

Opposition to Iraq War at 62% in U.S.

What you are is better known as backwash, the 33% or so minority with your heads in your ass still, sorry.

I have no doubt most disliked him...and I support his elimination..but there are other issues that trouble me..as i mentioned. Read my post and should be able to extract that I truely care about our young men and women..I have a 33 yr old son and 34 yr old daughter. My daughter has been in the Air Force for 15 yrs and is scheduled for a 90 day rotation assignment there..I wonder who cares about the effect on her 4 young children and do they understand what there mother could possibly die for?

Yeah, the polls of iraqis demanding us withdrawl are quite damning, so when are you going to take the iraqis side if you are so concerned for them?

It's hard for me to cheer anyone's death but I must admit I smiled a little this morning.

Having said that . . . what's with the US military and their morbid glee of posting the images of dead people? When it came to Saddam's troll sons, the "excuse" was to provide proof. But in this case an Al Qaeda website had already given an emesis missive about al-Zarqawi dying as a martyr.

Granted, I guess it's possible the Iraqis were responsible for the the poster board Face of Death but I'm more inclined to believe it's another "Mission Accomplished."

On a different note, I agree with other posts. It really sounds like al-Zarqawi (or at least his spiritual leader) pissed off the wrong people . . . so they served them up . . . Clear and Present Danger-style.

But they want to convert you, if not KILL YOU. So what you are saying is that we should just ignore him, Bin Laden, and any other terrorist leader because they have a right to kill and do whatever they want. Hmmmm, maybe we should have let Hitler go to. I mean why should we have tried to stop him right? Wasn't really a threat to our way of life or to our borders. WWII was "isolated" in Europe at the time. But you think he would have stopped there? I don't.

Maybe because you have all these retarded conspiracy theorists saying he was already dead, Bush was waiting for the right moment to spring it on us, etc. etc. Just goes to show you how utterly stupid and ridiculous these conspiracy believers are.

Well, he was the FACE of Al Qaeda in Iraq. But just last month the US military was making fun of al-Zarqawi's video outtakes. While I think it helps that he's gone, the benefits are probably more political/propaganda than practical. Now if the Iraqis can capitalize on it . . . more power to them. But don't be surprised if June looks a lot like May when comes to carnage and chaos.

One more thing . . . don't forget who really MADE al-Zarqawi . . . George Bush-Dick Cheney-Don Rumsfeld . . . the axis of asinine. Although the House "Spanish word for black" portrayed al-Zarqawi as the terrorist mastermind being hosted by Saddam, the truth is that al-Zarqawi was small time and scarcely noticed in Iraq under Saddam.

Bush War 2003 created a tremendous opportunity for al-Zarqawi.
