at launch over 2,000 music videos will be made available at a cost of $1.99 apiece.

Not bad for 1.99, suck it RIAA, I hope they are in an ultra tizzy.

he would still not like it because it still requires itunes for the most part to function, it's not a "true" DAP. I understand his POV, I just didn't like his bashing. that and I can live w/ the faults of the ipod, nothing's perfect. buy what you like. i'm buyin this... one day. ha

I don't know.... I can't see the attraction in downloading music videos. Then again, I hate MTV and the like...

Watching a full 90 mins movie whilst on the train, though.... neat (if possible)

i would... it'd be something to watch inbetween classes. but only if it were free.. i certainly wouldn't pay for anything, unless it was for a band I *really* enjoy.

iTunes 6.0 will also feature video and the iTunes Music Store will feature Fairplay DRMed video downloads (big surprise, right?).

Could someone please explain to me the attraction of a 2.5" screen for watching video? Do people really watch videos on little cellphone-type screens? I realize I'm not a gadget geek but I find it painful to try to watch a DVD on a 5" portable DVD player. I can't imagine trying to watch a video on a 2.5" screen.

This is true... a 2.5" screen is the same size as those miniature post-it notes.

I guess for the folks that commute, it's a good way to catch up on cnn or espn highlights in the subway or going between work etc.

in this particular applciation, for music videos and clips, it's not so bad. i wouldn't want to watch anything for an extended period of time.. unless i was on a 14hr flight, and didn't want to bring along a whole bunch of stuff. basically.. a psp needs to be outfitted w/ a HD

It?s not only music videos you can buy. No, Apple?s set up to allow you to purchase TV shows for $1.99 apiece. Get Desperate Housewives or four other ABC shows premiering on iTunes at two bucks an ep.

That's crazy. Wonder if apple is going to make anything off of these sales?

I dunno, but that's a smart way to capitolize on consumers new-found need to record all their favorite shows and view them when they want to...

Doesn't matter, they will own this market that they created. Now everyoen will try to catch up but won't be able to.
