Have you checked that it works? The coupon says "only valid with preorder or in stock:ships within 1 or 2 days" the 6300 says "In stock soon: ships within 1 - 2 WEEKS"...

Good question, when you click on the coupon and then a conroe it displays the discount on the cart. Since, I don't have the money$ available right now I haven't gone all the way with it.

I was gonna get an E6400 from them but then when I was about to order it they had taxes (extra $12) so I ended up ordering it from Outpost.com, it was only $267 and it said it would ship soon.

I've been trying to order a 6600 from buy.com but so far no luck. Ive got the discount coupon in the cart but when I try and actually order it I'm thrown into a series of cyclic checkout and order links that doesnt end. No confirmation page or email as of yet and I dont think I'm going to get one. Then again I may very well have just ordered 4 chips. I just emailed buy.com asking them whats up.

I already called. Basically to get the discount you have to order at least 200.00. However they don't bill you for the conroes until they are actually in stock. So you technically haven't purchased the 200.00 to use the coupon. We'll have to wait till they're in stock.

I ordered one yesterday. Jason, the cyclic checkout has to do with the fact that the coupon isn't valid for the purchase. It removes the coupon from your cart, and tells you in red font that the coupon isn't valid with the order. If you remove the coupon and try to checkout again, it should all work fine. They listed some restrictions on the coupon, including the fact that you had to be a new customer, I think that's why I couldn't use it. Also, minighost, they actually billed me for the Conroe moments after I placed the order in spite of the fact that it still isn't in stock.

When I called up buy.com they told me that the coupon was the reason for my inability to place an order. Unfortunately for some reason when I had the cyclic links the coupon was not removed from my cart nor was there any message that indicated that the coupon was not allowed. I ended up placing my order late on the 10th. For some reason however I was charged shipping even though its listed as a free shipping item. Oh well for 6 bucks im not really going to do anythign at this point for fear of dropping in line.
