Thank you for the giveaway offer.

I am interested in package #1, Intel Haswell i5-4430 LGA1150 CPU + MSI B85M-P33 motherboard. I need to build a PC for my boys who are 8 and 6. They are just getting started on using the PC for school work and need their own system to tinker with so they stop changing dad's (my) settings.

Thanks again!

Hmm... Seems that a large portion of the people entering didn't read the OP's instructions clearly enough.

No need to be cryptic. Say (type) it out loud, so people can fix their entries

Except for a few people not located in US or Canada, I think most everyone have done what was asked. Unless I'm missing something.

I want that SSD.

I experienced 2 HDD crashes in the span of two months and since I am a broke grad student... I cannot afford to purchase these. This SSD will help me offset some space constraints and help me make my research(I am working on hyperspectral images which take up a lot of space) a bit easier.

I would like to enter for every prize package. Every package contains parts that are far better/faster than what I am currently using (Core 2 from 2007). If I win a mobo/cpu combo I plan on passing my computer to my parents who are still using a Pentium 4 2.2GHz.

Either video card would be a nice upgrade for my computer as I have some ATI card with 512MB of RAM.

If I get the SSD I'd put it into a laptop that currently has no drive (been USB booting a Linux live USB stick).

Thank you nanaki333 for your generosity in offering so many computer parts. Even if I don't win anything I still appreciate the effort and enthusiasm you put into this.

I would like to win the SSD. I would use it to upgrade the 4200RPM drive in my netbook. This is my only, yes only, home computer and it needs a little boost. Thanks for the chance to win.

I like to enter for all 4 prizes, each definitely an upgrades for me.

I always milk every ounce of hardware performance since the early days of the 8088 XT Turbo with a yellow button 4.77Mhz/10Mhz awesome 640MB IBM PC before the higher memory that comes with the introduction of the famous 16-bit CPU/16-bit bus 80286.

Depending on what I win, I will put them to good use such as building a very much needed VMware server for Cisco UC Unified Communications for the CCIE Voice Lab, potentially the CCIE Collaboration 10 that will replace the IE track.

If I win the graphics card, I'll be honest, I really need it for gaming on an old game called Lineage 2, still much alive and kicking - it still build upon the early 2000's Unreal Engine, though much improved employing latest generation graphics features. This game has survived and evolved and probably using the longest running commercial 3D graphics engine in the world and these graphics card will be just right but maybe underpowered for latest games, which I don't play.

Thanks for reading and even if I don't win, I am honored to be a part of this giveaway history. Humanity really has come together in the past couple of decades as I have seen in the evolution of Internet has brought "grassroots" power to the people and away from the corporate greed and propaganda - although their presence is still powerful but definitely no longer the death grip it once was. I hope these types of gestures and goodwill proliferates in society, we as humanity just feel this pounding joy to see what we can do, help another brother, sister - see smiles on their faces, bring US JOY!! Truly amazing and speaks to a greater truth about who we really are. To me that is the reason Internet exist, this medium allows joining of geographically divided humanity as One. To share and help one another in genuine love and compassion is the key to one day true lasting world peace. I cherish the spiritual aspect of this participation and allowing all of us a voice to express our thoughts and appreciation. To me, THAT is more important than anything. I never believe that I - the one - is insignificant to change the world. i believe, everything starts with the good gesture of ONE PERSON - in genuine truth. May that love and generosity be spread to others as grassroots gain momentum and tell the corporate run government that seek to control us, we've had enough! We choose love over hate, we choose forgiveness, we choose love, we choose to be happy and I will take full responsibility for all my actions. I feel a tremendous joy in my heart as I share this with you.

1) Prize packages 1, 2, or 3.
2) The graphics cards (either one) I would use to add to the i7 3770k build that I built from spare parts and intel retail edge program. Need a gpu to handle witcher 2, dawn of war, crysis, etc. Would prefer the 650 ti but am fine with the 7770 since it is free. The cpu and mobo combo (package 1) I would use to upgrade my brothers computer, which is running an AM2 dual core cpu and ddr2 ram. He would like something a little more recent but doesn't have the money. This would be an awesome way of showing him how great of a brother he is and how much I appreciate him.

First and foremost, thank you for your generosity! Such a gesture is an example to all of us.

I would like to enter the drawing for the following prize numbers:

1 - I would use the motherboard and processor as that starting point for my first home build. It's something I've always wanted to do, and with my laptop getting on six years old and showing its age I could definitely use the power that the upgrade would provide.

4 - Same thing as above, I would use the mobo, cpu and memory to begin my first home build. No feeling like building something yourself, so why not extend that to computers?

Again, thank you just for the chance to enter this contest!

The rules say, very clearly, to enter for one of the prizes. Not all of them.

Really?

FTOP: "Each member can only win 1 prize, but may enter for all 5 prizes!"

Seems to me it actually, VERY CLEARLY, says the exact opposite.

Thanks for the contest. I'll just enter for prize 2, because my current video card is so slow and often drops frames showing my kids blu ray video, and I was thinking of upgrading to exactly that card.

The other prizes wouldn't be so bad, but it looks like other people building machines for their grandmother or whatever can use them more.

Thanks for the opportunity,

1 & 4 would be the choices I enter.

I would use either of these choices to build a rig to use for work. I currently have just a small netbook that I've had for years and it would be awesome to be able to have a desktop to make lesson plans on.

Thanks again for being so kind to the members here.

I hope and assume the winner for each prize is chosen separately and if one person wins more than once he can choose the prize, (instead of being eliminated from the other prizes). Because not only might that be a dagger through the heart if someone could use things but has a really high preference for one thing that he got knocked out of, but other reasons might be involved.

For instance, I've been thinking about it, and I could certainly replace my MacGyvered video card that is loud and overheats, but it's in a PC I want to replace, and if I win a PC package, onboard graphics would be bearable (I think), so then I wouldn't need a video card.

Btw, before this thread, I hadn't really thought about an SSD or cache drive, but the more I think about it, the more I think it might help with certain time-sensitive things I do, (no, not playing video games). So if you received that drive as some kind of promotional item to promote SSD and cache drives, it worked.

I'd like to enter for all of them

The purpose will be to build a system for a co-worker who wants to start pc gaming, but just doesn't have the funds for a mid-range build, so any of the parts would be a great help toward that goal.

And thanks so much for hosting this giveaway

Very nice offer. I'm most interested in #2 or #3 or any other. My business failed about 2 years ago and I've worked in a gas station and a factory ever since and haven't upgraded any of my computers since then and would really like to modernize one. I used to be active (as HappyHelper) on this forum a long time ago... but I don't remember the email address I was registered with so I have this new account. Anyway, thanks again for the nice contest and good luck to everyone.

In fact, I was trying to access the buy/sell/trade forum to buy some used parts, but couldn't access that forum, though I did find this contest.

I didn't find this out until much later, but I believe you need 25 (or maybe 20, can't remember which) before you can view the for sale/for trade posts.

From what I understand, there will be five separate draws. The rules that say a person may enter for all five draws.

But you can win only once. So if you've won on the first draw, you will be eliminated from all subsequent draws.

Also, from what I understand, the Grand prize (Haswell combo) will be chosen/drawn first and then onwards based on the retail value of the prizes.

People will not get to choose their prizes.

If I am wrong, maybe nanaki333 will correct me.

I meant it as, you are in all five drawings, and if you win let's say two drawings, then you can choose which to win and choose which to give up. Versus if you win one that happens to get drawn before one that you have a higher preference for but were then eliminated from.

It's not too big a deal, it's still a great and generous giveaway to do, I was just thinking if drawing it that way wasn't the plan that I should say something so it's at least considered.

It's pretty cool that you're doing this ser nanaki333. It might not give you the same fuzzy feeling you'd get giving to a charity for something like starving children, but it's pretty awesome to help your fellow nerds. Those of us with faulty rigs of yesteryear are starving... for FPS and graphics that don't look like they're from an xbox.

I would love to have # 1 (but would gladly take any), and I admit that it's going to me. It would function both as our family computer, and a gaming rig for myself. Our cuttent computer is a home built machine from late '08, which is fine but has begun to show artifacts on screen. Don't know how long it'll be now.

I have two children, a greedy ex to pay support to, and a wife who's apathetic towards gaming. It's no trouble to silently amass games through steam, but having to drop ~ 1k on a new rig is something I can't justify... either to myself or my wife. However, if I were to aquire some parts, I'd be able to convince all parties of my need to finish the project.

Either way I'm glad that *somebody* gets to feel the love.

#1. My son has graduated HS and is a very good artist. His PC is long in the tooth and cannot handle higher function drawing apps like CS4 and this would be perfect for him! I purchased him an intuos tablet but couldn't afford to build him a better PC.

Thanks OP!
