I'm in the market for a 3.55" black controller panel. I'm looking for someting with 3-4 USB ports + HD audio/mic. I've been searching for a while, and I found this Silverstone panel but it has a firewire and my motherboard (Gigabyte P35-DS3R) doesn't have a firewire header, nor do I have a need for a firewire port. I'm going to be using all of my 5.25" bays so 5.25 is not an option.
I have a 5.25" panel that I'm gonna give to my brother, it has 3 usb ports, but I can't use both of the usb ports at the same time for some reason ( 2 usb ports at the botom left) and the same issue with my case 2 usb ports, I can't use them both, I can only use one port at the time. Besides, nither my creative zen vision: M, nor my 500GB WD external HDD work by hooking them up to the front usb ports even if I ONLY hook one of them at a time, I get " this device is not recognized" I can only use my bluetooth dongle, and game pads work fine. 2 of the front usb ports hook up to internal header, and 2 ports hook up to the IO panel at the back. What could be the problem? I don't have this problem with the usb ports in th IO panel though. I'm using vista ultimate and all drivers including mobo are up to date.
P.S the reason I need a panel with HD audio is cause the 5.25" one I have doesn't work with my headphone/mic. It just woun't detect them for some reason so I read I needed something that supports HD audio, is this true?
Sorry for the lengthy post :/
