Converting .doc/PDF to HTML

I need to convert several hundred .doc and PDF files into html files for a website. We don't want users to have to download files to view them. Every tool we've tried has resulted in messy conversions.

Does anyone know of a tool that will do a decent conversion that requires minimal clean up after? Even for other OSes would be fine.

Not a direct solution BUT,

Why don't you try printing your doc/pdf to images? Then all you need to do is host those images somewhere online? Anyone can view a .jpg file from any web-broswer !

Either this or a pdf to flash viewer.

Not a quick solution, but you might try uploading to Google Docs and downloading as html.

Time Consuming:
you can save as in word to make html files.

And if you don't have Word, Open Office will convert .doc files to HTML. So will WordPerfect. There a5re also .pdf to HTML coverters. Just Google .pdf to HTML.
