Cooling for AiW Radeon 9700pro

hey...i've been thinking bout gettin rid of the stock heatsink/fan on my card and i'm not sure what to get. I've taken a look at the zalman heatpipe but it looks like it's too big for an all in wonder card and i've heard that it may be bad for the memory chips. could someone give me an accurate analysis on this? also, could someone tell me how the Vantec Iceberq is as well?

I picked up a cooling kit from 2cooltec.com for my AIW 9700 Pro and it works great. It has a crystal orb that fits in the retail spot just perfect and also has small heatsinks for the memory. Nice complete little kit.

My 9700 pro is the hottest part in the case

My friend bought a Zalman 80c for his AIW 9700pro, and he says it won't fit due to the tv tuner. As far as the memory issue, I think the problem was due to the heatshink blocking the air circulation around the memory chips.

Vantec Iceberq..only downside is that it comes with 4 bga ramsinks....I was able to buy another set of ramsinks online from another member though.

zalman heatpipe fits perfect on my 9700pro aiw, don't know what those guys are doing wrong.

there are two versions of that heatsink, maybe they got the wrong one?

Which one did you have? My friend got the 80c(the black/grey one). They make two others, the 80, and 80a(which are both gold).

I installed that one on my ATI Radeon 9600PRO to get read of the stuck fun. I don't know how hot the 9700PRO gets, but for my 9600pr I don't think that it was worth it. I takes some good time to install, and I think that I would've been better off with a smaller pasive heatsink. My card is overclocked to 465/351 and it barely gets warm, I know that the 9600 cards run much cooler because the way they are built. What I am trying to say is that if your card doesn't get too hot, you don't need this HeatSink.
