Hy guys, greeting from Sweden!

Now, I´m about to buy the Antec Plus1080AMG 430W True Power. Down bellow u can see the soon to be PC config.
1. How many fans is really necessari vs. the noise? The True Power (430W that comes with the case) I hear is GREAT, and the case has also already two fans installed in the rear, i guess theses two fans are ok or? Didn´f find the specs. on them. The optional fans 1 front, 1 HDD, 1 side panel, I guess that for each installed fan the noise gets louder even if they emit 12db, or if one installs maximum amount of fans maybe the cooling gets so efficient that the fans don´t need to operate that much hence less noise. Guys whats your oppinion?

2. Which 80mm fan do you prefer if u want to keep the noise down, what do u think about Papst 80mm 12db??
3. Same criteria but for the pcu on the socket A (soon to be computer on the bottom/reminder)?
4. I have the Creative GeForce 4 Ti4400, I think its a good card but its fan is a bit to noisy, can I solve this, suggestions?

1. The amount of airflow you need depends on what you are running. If you are running a really hot system (like overclocking) then cooling becomes more important.
2. I haven't personally tried the papst, I use mostly panaflos, but I hear the NMB from svc.com is very quiet... any of these should be fine though
3. Same as 2 UNLESS you are overclocking... then you will need something more powerful, the smartfan2 is popular.
4. Assuming it uses a connector to get power off the mb or psu, you can use a rheostat to cut down the voltage on it and quiet it down a bit.
What I did for my recent system was try several different fans in diff positions until I was satisfied with a setup.
This is not very cost effective though.

I have a plusview 1000 (basically 1080 w/ window) and a Truepower 430. I threw in 5 80mm NMB case fans from www.SVC.com for only $11 total. They are near silent once in the case, but they dont push much air. I am running an XP 1700, 1 IBM HD, etc. and my case temps are staying about 27c with my processor at 32c. If you can find the papst's and are willing to pay what they cost compared to the NMBs then go for it. Maybe you can find them cheaper in Sweden somewhere. Over here they are expensive and hard to find. If anyone knows where they can be gotten cheaply though, please say. The rear case fans are a little loud for their airflow (at least the ones on the plusview). If you are going to get papst's or other quiet fans I suggest you replace the included ones as well.

I have a 1080, the original Antec fans in the rear, 2 Panaflo L1As in the front, and a Panaflo L1A on the side. The bulk of noise I have comes from the Enermax adjustable fan on the heat sink. When I replace that fan with the Zalman 92mm with the diode attached, I should be almost silent. Not a lot of noise from these fans.

1) The True430W that the 1080AMG case comes with has some special fan connectors. Just connect the rear case fans that it comes with to the fan connectors and the power supply will automatically vary voltage depending on detected temperatures. Really a great feature. The 1080AMG case that I got came with a fan in the side panel as well as the two in the rear (3 total) but no fans in the front. As amcdonald said the airflow requirements depend on what you're running and if you're overclocking.

2) NMB fans are mentioned a few times. I actually had bought a bunch of them for $1 each. The ones I bought weren't made for computers but ran on 12V. They are VERY quiet, but don't move too much air.

3) For good, quiet socket A cooling... probably any of the Thermalright SLK series of copper heatsinks that take 80mm fans would work well with any quiet fan.
