Hi
Like most gamers, I enjoy a good shooter. However, does anyone else feel that we're severely lacking in cooperative FPS games these days? Co-op is my favorite mode of gaming--taking on the bad guys alongside my comrades is always thoroughly enjoyable. I had a blast with games like Ghost Recon, Serious Sam, and Perfect Dark, but where are the good co-op first person shooters now? Call of Duty would've been perfect! (It could've been twice as long, too). Same goes for Elite Force 2.
Now I know you can play on the same team with your friends online on games like CoD or EF2 or CS or SoF2 or whatever, but it's not the same. There's no story, no adventure, just mindless (but often fun) killing and the ever-difficult task of putting up with other people who, behind the safety of their computer, feel obligated to act like assholes most of the time. Why is there such a focus on versus multiplay? Is that really what everyone likes, or is it just what makes the most money?
Please add your thoughts
(BTW, should this be in OT?)
