I had a web site at school, and lost my local copy of the files. I don't have a school account any more, but they still have my site up. Is there a way I can copy the files other than 'Save As' one page at a time? BTW, the total size of the site is ~1.5 MB.

Occurs to me you could simply import the site into Adobe GoLive, or MS FrontPage, both of which are available as trials, Adobe GL for free, I think you have to buy a 45 day trial CD from Msft.

Other than that, get a hold of WS_FTP and just download the whole thing.

I don't have an account at the school, so I can't log on using ftp. The site is still up, so I can view the pages.

I need somthing which can be set to 'download www.xyz.edu/~abc/index.htm + all linked files' (preferably only linked files in same domain).

Oops, missed that one.

So, the next question is, who do you know that is still at the school and will log you on?

Other than that, I believe Visio will capture a Web site, but it will only map it.

I am sure some of the more "hacker-esque" members probably has an idea.

I haven't used it yet, but I downloaded a utility called Site Snagger from Ziff Davis/Pc Magazine. I don't have the exact URL, but this is one URL in the program's readme files: http://www.zdnet.com/pcmag/pctech/content/17/04/ut1704.001.html.

It sounds pretty cool although I haven't used it yet, sounds like it is exactly what you want. To 'install', you simply unzip it (about 755KB) to directory of your choice and I put a shortcut to desktop so I don't lose it.

Hope this helps . . .
