'Only' 4 gigs of ram because I think that is all that's necessary for a very long time for me

Computer will be a light gaming, browsing, movie/tv show storage, and hopefully be an HTPC soon.

I bought the Corsair ram today, figuring it's nice looking, good reviews, and hey, basically the same price as the ugly cheaper stuff after MIR

Well, timing was apparently not on my side...

After ordering this ram, having convinced myself that 4gb is more than enough, and that the Corsair was a great deal ($38 after tax and shipping), I woke up this morning and had a peek at the shell-shocker deal of the day:
