Note: I have run this as a 2.8 but it gets squirrley after a few days of operation. I have seen where others have no problem getting their system to run @ 3G.
I was just wondering is there something else I can do to reach the 3G mark without putting the CPU inside a freezer or something?

You have a goofy grin in your system specs.

What's your core voltage set to? With good cooling, 3.0ghz shouldn't be an issue, and many people easily hit 3.2ghz+ with that chip (I assume it's a 2.4C). Good luck.

Probably a 2.4B since his FSB is 155 (18 x 155).

Agreed. But it could also be a P4 2.4a couldn't it?

Those were legendary overclockers IIRC.

If it's just a 2.4b though, that seems like a good OC.

I think you mean the 1.6 and 1.8 A

OP, make sure you run the Prime95 torture test to ensure stability, especially if the system is "squirrelly".

My Core Voltage is: 1.536v
The CPU is a 2.4B 533Mhz FSB. At the time of purchase I did not realize I had purchased a "B" vice the 'C', consequently I am living with what I have till I make another purchase. I have monkeyed around with my RAM timings and have been very satisfied with the results as you can see. As far as that goofy face in the middle of the speck's, I have no idea how it got there.
Thanks for your reply.

I have ran Prime95 and several other 'BurnIn' app's. My system holds rock solid on this 2789Mhz OC but once I "kick it up a notch", say around 2.8 than after 48 hours of run time it goes squirley. But during that 48 hour period it sure flys! Taking it back down to the 2789Mhz she becomes solid as a rock, so I mainly just leave it there.
