CPU Temp Monitor !!!

Hi !!

Is there any way I can measure accurate Core Temp for my Pentium D Processor ???

I have 1 Fan Installed in my Machine (Other than CPU fan and PSU fan).... after sometime of Normal Operation my system starts givein loud beeps continously !!!!

If I open the cabinet the sound stops and evertything is Normal.... I am not overclocking the CPU or anything....

I have tried TAT , CoreTemp ... but none works for Pentium D !!!!

I have Gigabyte 945 Mobo... any particular BIOS setting if there is I dont know !!

any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

no it doesnt work. ive already tried that too.

Your only luck is to use a motherboard monitor, and pray the diode isnt terribly off. I placed a thermometer near the clamp of the heat sink. That gave a fairly good temp reading. I always assumed +4-5C for margin of safety tho.

I would only assume your motherboard has issues. If speedfan and coretemp dont work, im not sure what to tell you. Id say, youll have to use the bios to see.

Sometimes the bios will show a horribly wrong temperature. I've had cases where the bios reports a temperature less than ambient. Even with my Tuniq Tower 120 that is NOT possible (it is still AIR)!!. Also the program that comes on the motherboard CD will read those temps directly from the bios and it will display the same horribly wrong temperature.
