Reading through the threads here I see people complaining when their cpu runs over 40^C. Mine runs at 60^C and the MB temp is 38^C. Should i be worried? I thought it was normal. I have 1Ghz TB, A7V133 MB and TT superorb on the cpu.

i don't think 60 is THAT bad. i'd worry if it peaks up to 68-70C, but if it stays around 60, you're allright.

I think you are oK...don't oc much though...

Remember you are running an asus mobo so your temps are comparable to many other boards at around 52c...asus boards read a higher temp due to different measurement spot.

I think the clu is the high mobo/ system temps...that could improve anou 8c which in turn could lower cpu temps by as much...

How are case fans? How many? should have at least two not necessarily counting ps fan...

I Only have 1 case fan. It blows in from the back on the superorb. I guess i should get another fan to suck air out the front.

As for overclocking, i don't really need to, yet. This thing is way faster than i need it to be. When my fps in q3 drops below a zillion, ill figure something out

i just got my amd 1.33 axia(not OCed) and slapped a OCZ gladiator on it. I was running about 127 F (i hate Celcius!!). Some guy at a lan i went to recently pretty much freaked when i told him i just had my HSF lying on my CPU with no thermal paste. He busted out some artic silver II, IMMEDIATELY after applying it and booting up my computer my temp dropped to 104 F. 23 degrees!! if you dont have Artic silver II paste, i suggest you get some...its just a TINY strip i put on the cpu, applied the HSF and moved it from side to side to spread the paste and voila!
definitely get more fans also. 1 or 2 intake, possible mod one on the side of the case blowing over the mobo out to the exhaust. GL

Pipes...I would go the other direction. Pull in from the front and out the back. That way you take the heat coming off of the cpu and suck it right out the back instead of trying to funnel it all the way to the front of the case. Usually you have more heat behind the case than in the front.

Second what Andy said. You want to draw in cool air from the front and exhaust it out the back. Does your case have a provision for a front case fan? Get one. Have the front sucking fresh air in and the rear fan blowing it out. You'll see a big-time drop in case temp as well as a small drop in CPU temp. Try it, you'll see for yourself.

Pipes,

A7v's "read" higher temps than other mbs. So you cant' compare your temps to other setups.

That being said, your temps are fine.

I only have one fan in my entire system, and that's the medium sized HSF on my K6-III+. If I stick my hand inside, it's a little bit warm. So I guess that's around 30, no higher than 40. What makes all the heat is the Banshee - it gets hot, not overclocked, and there's no fan on that. What makes more heat than anything else is my monitor though, that heats up my whole room!

ooo...that sounds a bit hot. I suggest buying more case fans and having the front fans flowing the air in and the back sucking the hot air out.
