Crashes while playing SC2

My computer is crashing when playing SC2. The problem has only shown up since I got my new video card, but I am not sure if the video card is the culprit or not. I used to get BSOD but recently it's just been SC2 crashes while the rest of the system stays up. I think I accidentally dislodged the North Bridge heatsink while installing the video card, and I re-affixed that...that is when the BSODs stopped.

It only happens after a while so I think it might be heat related, but I have tried stress testing the system and it doesn't crash. I don't really know what is going...was hoping someone could help me figure it out.

Motherboard: ASUS M4A785-M 785G
RAM: 4 GB
Case: Lian Li PC-V351B

Please help, this is driving me nuts. I've tried stress testing with Furmark & Prime95, but it won't crash when I do that. It only crashes during SC2. I was running the integrated graphics before, without any problems.

I have seen this happen a lot with just one game while other games play fine. Update your video card drivers.

Drivers are all up to date. It happened again today. I was getting some stuttering of audio during gameplay and I was terrified it was going to crash. Lo and behold, once the game was over it crashed out to Windows.

Video card temps are maxing out at 59 C.

I'm really starting to think it's the MB...I hate shelling out money for a new one without knowing for sure.

I had the same issue after upgrading to a new mobo and CPU.
I had previously been running a 350w P/S.
I purchased a new 520w power supply and that fixed it.

I updated to a 600w power supply, and that didn't help. I ended up replacing the motherboard and memory a couple of days ago and it has been pretty solid so far. I think it was a bad motherboard.

Debugging hardware can be a bitch if you don't have a storage room with components to test with.

You are telling me...I went through 3 video cards (2 of them RMA'ed) and 1 power supply before I just gave up and replaced the mobo.

Had a similar problem with an ATI video card a few years back. RMAed two video cards before testing in another system. Video card worked fine in the test rig. Thought my mobo was shot, but decided to try an nvidia card instead and it's been working fine ever since.

Must have been some weird compatibility thing, because all of my other components were good as well. Never did figure it out.

On my computer, the game used to freeze up, most of the times this was accompanied by sound going into loop...after minute or 2 it always unfroze and i could continue to play like nothing happened. I tried to play the game on lowest visual settings possible and it would happen anyway. Personally, i think, its some issue with the game and not overheating or anything like that, as there was no problem with other games. I checked the net for some info on the issue and found out i am definitely not alone, but sadly i was unable to find solution.
Surprisingly though, just few days ago, i played the game after maybe 2 months again, more exactly 2 multiplayer matches and everything was just fine. I wonder if its just coincidence, or perhaps something changed on my computer - not sure now about GPU drivers, but the game updated itself...
