I remember my system being much more stable than this but it's been acting up for a couple months and I'm getting fed up with it.
WinXP
Asus A7N 266-C
Athlon XP 1800
Alpha PAL 8045
VisionTek GeForce 4 Ti4400
2x 256MB Crucial sticks
Onboard Sound
Cheapo Realtek NIC
1 Maxtor 60 GB Quiet Drive
1 Maxtor 40 GB Quiet Drive
Antec 400 Watt PSU
Lian Li PC 86 with 3 case fans.
In any game(WC3, CS, EQ) it will lock at random points at a black screen, sometimes I get a BSOD with a memory dump. A couple times it would give me a crash in a detonator related DLL but those went away with a driver reinstall.
I've replaced the ram, flashed the BIOS, reinstalled all drivers, removed any and all unnecessary programs.
According to the BIOS the CPU temp is around 42 degrees C, according to MBM it's around 53.
The power supply appears to stay in spec, haven't noticed any spikes with MBM.
I'm getting so close to actually reinstalling WIN XP and buying an Abit NV7 133-R.
Any suggestions?
