Crazy 2003 / 2007 Access Database Problem

I have a simple Access Database that has several tables Year 2001 - 2008.

I think one of my users opened up the access database using Access 2007 and saved the file. Now user who have Access 2003 see empty table contents for certain table. They can open the table, but there is no data inside. For example, If they open Year 2007, they can see data but if they open Year 2003, they don't see any data.

I've tried saving the entire database to as 2000 database and as a 2003 database. I was able to export the tables to an excel file so I can use that for now, but I can't figure out how to fix the problem.

Any ideas?

I haven't run into this problem before, but I have fixed some weird Access issues in the past.
First off you should have a backup so you can restore the database.
Also did you try a compact and repair?
Another thing to try is to return the database back to Access 2003 and then import the missing data from the excel file or another copy of the database.

I would recommend you setup user-level security in your database so this doesn't happen again.

Did you update Office 2003 with SP3? Certain files are blocked and Microsoft had to fix this issue.
