Credit Card Idea

I'm sure most who read this have done this or thought about it,but if it helps 1 person it's worth the time it takes me to write this (which is considerable considering I can almost remember writing with COAL!) Any way when I started buying off the web I was not to keen on putting my credit card out there for every one to see,so I went to my bank, Bank of America and opened a charge card with a Max of $500.00 and It never leaves my comp desk. After I make a few buys I call up the card company and square the bill.They say "being you are a good costomer ,no charge. At least with the $500.00 max I know I cant lose my house. Last month I had a $100.00 charge on my card from some outfit in Navada,so you can be sure there are some slugs out there. Hope this helps somebody

I just re-read seabee's post and I'm trying to figure it out but I can't!

I think his idea is to have a card with a realitively small limit to use for the sole purpose of purchasing items off the internet. That way you won't be taken for too much if someone gets hold of your account number. Althought with all the cards I have, and I think it's a law with credit cards, you are only liable for the 1st 50.00 of fraudulant (sp?) charges.

I can agree with that.
