Hi all,
I have always been an nVidia man until the delay upon delay of Fermi, hence I was forced to go ATI, and very glad I did.The two VaporX HD5870's I have in crossfire are superbly fast, cool and quiet.
Anyway I digress, I had two bridges connecting the cards, and have had no problems(for 3 months), until two days ago.
To cut a long story short I couldn't get passed the logo screen, tried various repairs etc., all to no avail, even did a clean install of Windows ,still no go.
After trying each card seperately to eliminate one of them being faulty. I attached both bridges, would not boot into Windows. Attached one bridge instead of the two, and all OK. I have had no problems since. I am just wondering if someone has any idea why this should happen, if they do I would be very interested to hear the reason.
Cheers
