Crucial Ballistix prices ...

I'm thinking of getting Crucial Ballistix 2 x 1 GB.

The prices at Newegg are : (Link)
DDR2-667 3-3-3-12 = $245
DDR2-800 4-4-4-12 = $119

The same products at Crucial are : (Link)
DDR2-667 3-3-3-12 = $139
DDR2-800 4-4-4-12 = $159

Are these the same (D9GMH) products ? The Newegg pricing doesn't really make sense, does it.

Buy.com recently had a sale for the ddr2-800 where it was on sale for 99 dollars maybe newegg is attempting to price match them or remain competitive yet still keep other products at normal prices.

That $245 is a fluke; it could be the normal price, but that's remarkably high for what it is. If the model #'s are the same, then they are made to the same specifications. They might use different chips, but if they proclaim that all of the sticks they make for a given model name have the same chips on them, then they will have them.

Thanks all. This build is for a moderately OCed system for my 16 year old cousin who is on a budget, $100 for memory. I may opt for the $119 DDR2-800.

I only put the interesting ones in my sig. A few more sitting around that don't do anything, but they are boring.

Seems most of the Crucial-1066 stuff is going to be D9GKX.
