Crucial M225 SSDs?

Why do these seem to get no love? 64GB is $180 on Newegg right now. SATA II, MLC, Indilinx controller. They seem to get excellent reviews from buyers on the Egg and Amazon, but I've found few expert reviews. Anand doesn't seem to include them in the SSD benchmark articles I've read. I'm considering one for a build as the price-to-size ratio is at a sweet spot for me, between the 40GB and 80GB Intel G2's. Anyone here own one?

Bump. Anyone? I see some info on Crucial's upcoming stuff, but nothing about the current gen.

I think that the reason you are not seeing any expert reviews is because they have been there and done that. Crucial was not one of the first out the gate with the Indilinx controller. The performance should be close to the Vertex and Agility drives that are present in most of the reviews and benchmarks that are out there. As long as you can confirm that their firmware is relatively up to date I would not have any concern purchasing this drive. However, the OCZ Solid 2 Series of drive may currently be a better deal.

Intel's 80GB Gen 2 cost 220. I think it makes sense to top up 40 for the drive that has the fastest random read among all the SSDs.
