I did a search for Crucial and I did not see anything on this. So, if this is a double post I am sorry but this is a great deal. Crucial has PC133 CAS 2 memory dirt cheap. 128MB is $61.19 and 256MB is $118.79. This is all rated at CAS 2 from the factory and it is high quality Crucial memory. I just wish I did not buy my memory earlier last year when it was ~$150 for 128MB

If you go through www.crucial.com/webpromo/, it's 5% cheaper, e.g. 256 megs PC133 CL2 is $112.19. Darn, and I just ordered 2 of these sticks just yesterday for ~$130/each . Guess I'll give them a call in the morning.

Ah, I just bought 256 from them for 135.99 shipped + tax. How low can they go? By the way anyone know why the get off charging sales tax for out-of-state orders? Is it a spud-state law or something? That pissed me off and I didn't buy from them for a couple of years but with prices so low I figured I'd give it a shot. So far it is running on my Athlon/Abit KT7 at 142 CAS 2 w/turbo settings which is the same as my 2 x 128 MB Mosel rev. 2 from Mushkin did. The beggar won't let me crank up the FSB anymore no matter what I do so I know the board is limiting me not the memory however.

I must be missing something. When I list the 168 pin dimms either through the home page or the special webpromo it shows 15% off and the 256MB PC133 CL2 shows up at $135.99.

I just bought the 256 for 135.99 about 5 days ago.... what are the chances of me getting the difference of the price change? Lemme know if anybody is able to do it. Thanks

What I did to get the $112.19 price (256 megs PC133 CAS 2) is to select memory for a specific manufacturer/mobo (Intel/D815EEA). If you select the memory by the type, strangely enough you get the higher prices. I'm pretty sure the memory are the same, although I didn't check the part number, but I can't imagine Crucial making a special dimm for that particular Intel mobo (standard OEM mobo).

banya: I plan on calling them up tomorrow and asking them to credit me for the difference. Otherwise, I'll tell them that I'll either refuse delivery or return the package and reorder. I believe you can return the memory for any reasons within the first 30 days. The 2nd-day free shipping will definitely work in my favor.

Thanks to nightowl for stumbling on this .

Edit: Link is here.

i did as you instructed and finally did find the price! i'm wondering too why the price is lower by manufacturer (MSI K7T Pro2a) than when selecting by type. that's really weird. can anyone confirm that this is exactly the same memory when comparing the 2 ways to do it?...vroom

You're right Poochy. The price is less if you select by mainboard or by crucial part number. If you plug in CT32M64S4D7E as the part number for 256MB PC133 CL2 you get a price of $112.19 when going through the webpromo portal. This same part number in the 168 pin dimm list shows up as $135.99.

Thanks nightowl!

i dont think they will honor the new price for the rest of us

You guys are evil. I don't need it but I am so tempted. $112 is too good to pass up. I never thought I could get this ram this cheap.

This deal is BLAZING HOT. When I chose the 256MB CAS-2 for the Abit BE6-II Rev. 2.0 I got a unit price of $101.99 and an out-the-door price of $110.15

Mahvellous!

Ok this is REALLY weird...I ordered 512MB of this stuff on Jan 17th. Got 2 256MB chips part # CT32M64S4D7E for 135.99 each. If you look up an ASUS A7V which is what I did, it gives the same part number and the price is 143.99 now? But yet if you look up the Intel D815eev like the above post says, it gives the same part number of the RAM but for 118.79?!?! What's going on?

This is for PC100 RAM. I still don't see how you get the OTD price of $110.15...Is that with tax ? Also, don't forget to go through ebates for some additional savings....very tempting.
