Crucial PC 2700 DDR SDRAM

I have a Gigabyte GA-7VRXP Rev 2.0 board and one 256MB chip from Crucial. It's rated by Crucial to run at only CAS 2.5 (it appears Crucial hasn't come out with CAS 2.0 DDR 2700 RAM yet.) Has anyone had any success getting the Crucial 2700 RAM to run at CAS 2.0 and if so how was it accomplished?

Crucial hasn't even come out with CAS 2.0 PC2100, but don't mind the CAS 2.5 timings, just change them to 2.0 in the bios... should work.

Test changing only CAS first. You'll probably be able to drop your memory latencies from 2.5:3:3 to 2:3:3, but it's unlikely that you'll get it to run stably at PC2700 speeds with 2:2:2 latencies.

My Crucial PC2100 will run at 333 Cas2... their 2700 should have no problem at all.

See I thought this would be the case also, but when I dropped the CAS down to 2, the machine posted fine but gave me a blue screen after attempting to load Windows XP.

Crank the memory voltage up to 2.7 or 2.8... it wont hurt it, just dont go up to 3.0 or something

Dulanic is right. I had to crank the Vmem on my Crucial PC2700 up to 2.6 to make it run stable at 166 mhz on my Shuttle AK35GT2 at CAS2 and other most aggressive memory timings (1T, fastest, 4 bank interleave, etc.).
