is paying 22.30 if you get amazon cards.

I cashed 8 coins in for 20.87 at fast cash yesterday. These prices hold on for a while I will get 100% payback on all the video cards and the computers I built to run them.

As it is I got 12 of the 14 gpus fully paid off.

I am earning about 1.4 coins per day. It is costing me 6 bucks a day to run the gear.

20MHash each. After factoring power costs it would be a net loss. For comparison, the 7750 goes for the same price, roughly the same power draw and generates 4-5x more. There should really be a sticky or something that nVidia cards for BTC mining are virtually worthless, this question pops up every few pages.

You'd get much better mileage OCing your 7950. Memory also has no bearing on mining, and many miners downclock the memory if that's all the card is doing, otherwise it just chews up more power.

already have the GT 440. So is it possible to use a AMD card in my HTPC and still use my GT 440 as i need it for Nvidia 3D Vision

^^Wasn't suggesting getting a 7750, just illustrating how big the difference is. But yeah, nothing saying you can't use AMD for mining and nVidia for 3D in the same machine.

YOU CAN RUN THE 7950 FOR mining only . run the 440 for your other needs. don't oc the 7950. under clock it just a bit.

a 7950 can run at .9 volts instead of stock .993

set the ghz at 850 .

the ram can be 1.5 volts and 700 your power will drop 25-50 watts and the card will hash around 400M/hash. if you over clock a lot you will hash 500m/Hash but watts will go way too high

That's MegaHash/Second.

$24.25.

Good thing I kept mining when the naysayers kept saying mining is dead in "X weeks" and ASICs are shipping "any minute now."

You can mine and use the PC for most things other than games. Unless there is a program that you use that needs 98% CPU power or GPU power, you can mine and do other things like watching movies, browsing the web on the PC. If you have more than 1 GPU in the system, you can game on the primary and mine on the secondary. The mining GPU doesn't even need to be plugged into a monitor.

$25.40 Damn, starting to regret selling those 9 coins at $22-$23. Still have lots more though. Can we reach $100 this year?

100$ is probably a stretch. ittl probably top out somewhere between 35$-40$ then drop back down to 20$ or so. maybe even lower.

yeah I still go with the earn them sell them method.

I pull in about 1.1-1.2 a day.

I have reached to point of getting all the gpus for free.

I am now paying off the cpus' mobos etc.

I have 2x jalapeños coming from BFL.

I have gotten to the point that I now prefer the asics to come early April or even May. Every 4 days is worth 80-100 bucks after the power.

40 days would be close to 1000 for me.

It will overheat as mining puts a huge load on your GPU. My HD 6950 even undervolted ran at 70c and its not guarenteed you'll even get that

this.

I have the 14 gpus and they are all undervolted most of them are in an unheated garage . in open frame setup with fans at 65%. they run at 60c to 70c. a laptop will get very warm. I also think it will have low hash a 7750 has 120 has so a 7650m has to be less.

I hash about 7000. my peak hash rate was about 9200 with 16 gpus 1 hd7990 2 hd7950 's

and 13 hd7970's.

I sold some off some gear and ordered 2x jalapenos

I now have 1 hd7990 2 hd7950's and 11 hd7970's.

I have decided that lower clocks with a lesser hash rate is a little better watt to hash ratio.

so I dropped from 9200 to 7000. that 7000 earns about 1.2 coins a day

so if your card hashes 140 that is 50x less. if it hashes 100 the is 70x less if it hashes 70 that is 100x less.

I earn about 30 bucks a day (1.2 coins at 25 usd)

so you would be 30 to 60 cents a day. at best 1 buck a day. not counting the power use.

I get that the unit may be in a power free zone.

I love all the bragging sans power use calculations. Power use is killer for a lot of people and MUST be accounted for.
