I'm starting to mine LTC with my XFX 7950 Double D (TDKC) but I'm facing two problems. The GPU tops out at 95C at 90% fan speed with the case side door closed, and 88C with the side door open. That is way too hot and way too loud. Aside from BIOS flashing, is there anything else I can do to undervolt the card? Looking at Google, the answer is a solid no.
If I do flash it, is there a way to backup my BIOS first? Don't want to risk losing XFX's awesome warranty, which was the sole reason I bought this card.
Edit: Looking into Feathercoin as well.. Anyone got a good pool to recommend?

I thought only 3.5 worked for LTC mining.Try cgminer 3.7.2 and the latest AMD 13.11 betas

Try lowering the intensity. I read it may help. I'm just getting into this so good luck! Also if i used GUI miner with the default 6950 i get a hash rate of 384, but if i use cgiminier and the following i get much less.
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx DISPLAY ":0"
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://global.wemineltc.com:3334 -u xxxx -p xxxx --
thread-concurrency 24000 --lookup-gap 0 --gpu-engine 1100 --gpu-memclock 1250 --gpu-
powertune 10 -w 256 -I 19 -g 1
Note for the screen below i ram at 50 max allocation as i was surfing the web too. however with 100 it isn't much higher
