Given most of the script-based hashing powers going towards the alternative currencies now I'm highly cautious about investing any scrypt asics. That area, alt coins, is constantly changing. Scrypt ASIC may not work well here.
You can mine MAX on AMD GPUs? How?Should have jumped on Max...
It's plummeting now, but I made another .4 BTC from mining it last night till now on 2x7970 and 2x780. Don't think any other coin comes close to that return.
Still set to give me .15 BTC for today, so it's still the most profitable to mine as far as I can tell. I may go back to VTC after tomorrow though.

I'm surprised the coin hasn't died yet considering how crappy it is... Obvious pump and dump that no one got to work, except for NVIDIA miners.Just get the newest cgminer and add --keccak. My underclocked 290 gets more than 300Mh/s. Profitability is going down by the minute and pools get ddos'd about 10 times a day but it's still about twice as profitable as anything else.
I made close to 9K in three days off Max. Best coin ever.
It's value is a 1/10 of what it was and difficulty is sky high now, but boy was it good for that first day and a half with solo mining and crazy .02 value.

How much would I get with my 7950 if I pool mine for a day?
Edit: Max dumped all his coins and is creating StacyCoin according to reports on Bitcointalk.
Honestly, for all the people calling it a failcoin, it's made me about three times as much as I've ever made mining on two gpus for a couple days.
If it's pump and dump, then someone's not dumping hard enough because it's still making me a pretty profit even now and one 7950 actually hashes faster than two 780tis using the latest commits. Beware the scam pools though.
BAMT 1.5 is the first BAMT version I've used. I switched because I couldn't get more than 4 GPU's to function in Win7 and didn't have immediate access to Win8x. With Win7 I was running around 830-840 mH/s on scrypt, after installing BAMT (simply run off a flash drive) I was hitting 1005-1015 averages across all cards with the exact same config - so I'd suggest it's a Win 7/64-bit limitation.
I just redid my kitchen and swapped out a dual 40amp breaker when splitting 220 out for an island range, and still had it sitting in my server room.. so simply re-arranged some breakers and added in the previous dual 40a (total of 80a) and swing by a hardware store for a few reels of 8-3. Ran a new dedicated cable to the garage as you see in the image. Simple math told me 80a was enough to run what I need and potentially a little more.
My house is increadibly effecient. Electricity bill in the winter when gas is powering the furnace is something like $60 due to high effeciency appliances and full-house LED lighting so I didn't need to upgrade the service to run a continuous 6000w in the garage. You really only need to upgrade the service if you wire in a new breaker and find you're pulling more actual than the house on high load. I can turn every light and appliance in my house on and still barely cap 3000w so I'm good on overhead.
Keep in mind the gridseed based asics are actually dual-mode asics - they do both SHA256 AND scrypt.
Has the 7950 hash increased, or which commits are you talking about?

You guys are so successful... I've mined for two months now and made $0 because I haven't sold any of my CATs or DOGE :'(I couldn't say exactly. I mined solo for the first two days and found my own blocks. 96 coins per blocks and I found 11 blocks in total. Made a killing right at the initial outset when a block was almost = 2 BTC. Following day a block was about = 1 BTC. Now it's about .2 BTC per block/96 coins.
Past two days I've been pool mining with 2x 780 & a 7950 since the idea of finding a block solo at this point is a pipedream. The 7950 is faster than a 780, about 300Mhash and the 780s are about 200Mhash each. Yesterday pool mining netted me about $300 worth of BTC. Today with those cards going at current difficulty/value my guess is about $100. So maybe $50 a day on a 7950 with things as they stand right now.
In the meantime I continue to plod along with my aged 6950 on middlecoin and still manage around 0.04-0.05 BTC/day, which is profitable for me. At the very least, there's still money to be made from all the speculation.
What's your hashrate on that 6950? I've never broken 0.04 BTC per day and I'm doing approximately 2 MH.

Yeah there's no way anyone can make 0.04-0.05 BTC/day with ONE 6950 on middlecoin. I had ~4MH/s pointed at it and I was making at most about 0.07 BTC/day (exchanged). Unexchanged added about another 0.03BTC/day.

I've seen those specs but I thought they could hash one or the other, not both at same time?
I've been looking at alpha technologies 25mhs miner. But it's still 4 months out minimum I think. If these kind of things are the real deal then it will change the landscape. 25mhs for under 300w, but I think a catch 22, alt coins filled a nitch that I think initially moved away and would continue to move away from ASIC use. I see asics being tied to mining BTC. We'll see, I think there's 10-12 months before this battle has some clear indication of outcome.
You can switch the path as needed, the first E: is to get CMD on the right HDD. If you use C: just remove the first line and switch the second like this.:top1
E:
cd E: \pathHere\cgminer-3.7.2-windows
START mybatchfilename.bat
timeout /T 1800
taskkill /f /im "cgminer.exe"
timeout /T 10
goto top1
:top1
cd C: \PathToCGminer\cgminer-3.7.2-windows
START mybatchfilename.bat
timeout /T 1800
taskkill /f /im "cgminer.exe"

goto top1

I can't get past ~270MH/s on my 7950. Are you running any special settings? Thanks guys. I hope it's better late than never for Maxcoin, but I just joined the party with 2000 MH/s pointed at a pool.
