Yeah, I remember thinking it was "realistic" when it first came out. It's really not, but the accuracy penalty for movement does a great job of slowing the game down and forcing at least some kind of strategy. I got good at the game back when it was 1.6; about a year ago, I picked up source, but couldn't get good enough to score more than a random kill here and there. Not sure if it was cheating or if people really are just that good now, but it doesn't really matter.
