Without knowing this monitor, I'd recommend the Samsung 950P. It's 329.98 at Onvia, but there's no Samsung rebate on this one. You may want to wait to see if there's one in August because the current Samsung rebates end on 7/31, but then the Onvia coupons expire on 7/31 also.

I went through 3 of them at Sam's club. Screen geometry was screwed and uncorrectable on all of them. Must be something about that particular model or the batch I was getting them from.

I replaced it with the CTX PL9 at Sam's club. Much better. I've got the VL950 (not short-neck) and the PL9 as dual monitors and I've been happy at 1280x1024.

CTX has worked for me, I see everyone posting about them being crap, but for what I do they have been just fine.

Sam's club has the PL9 for around 260.00 last time I checked. Not a bad deal either.

Yes monitors sometimes do vary a quite a bit among different samples of the same model especially they'd been abused during shipping, but manufactures do acquire a general reputation.

I read several reviews from ZDNet and others...it looks like the
Optiquest Q95 19" is the better of the reasonably priced choices they have at onvia.

After the $25 coupon it's $304 and then take another $30 off from pointclick and you're looking at $270 or so.

I ordered that one anyway

Another vote for Samsung 950p. nice.. and the people I've talked to at Samsung actually give a $hit about you. Imagion that!

The vl950 and the pl9 are the same monitor just different labels to discorage pricematching. I have had a pl9 aka vl950 for 2 years and it is a fabulous monitor.
