Do you lack the basic balance that's bestowed upon every human beings that are not defective in some ways? Though the granite slab can be a bit heavy, I can assure that the ice provides a very slick surface for it to slide on, shouldn't take much efforts at all. And after a few tries and you can't judge the force which you'd need to exert to get that rock to where it needs to be, then it is indeed challenging for you.

It's easy to sling rocks down there, but it's extremely difficult to get them in the exact place you want them to be. Would take years to get good at that.
