I'm just wondering this and I haven't found an answer anywhere, but with all the talk of LCDs now, have they really gotten better in the past 2 years? What I'm most concerned about is the colors, and more specifically the gradients. On my Dell (ugh..) laptop the lcd doesn't seem to support nearly as many colors as even a 5 year old CRT, easily seen at any kind of alpha-blending or color gradient area. Also, have there been any improvements on usage outside the optimal resolution, or do they obscure the image still? Thanks for any help on this newbie crap, I've been in Iraq for a bit, so I'm a bit out of the loop.
