Disregarding spyware, there are other good reasons to switch to Firefox. Fewer people go over it with fine-tooth combs looking for ways to exploit it, the UI is, IMO, superb and better than any others I've tried, it's not tied into your OS, and tabbed browsing is great.

Oh, and the harmless cookies and such, although harmless and whatnot, are part of the more than 1 files I was talking about.

Adaware finds nothing with firefox.

IIRC that's because AdAware doesn't check your Mozilla cookies, not because they're not there. The new version of Spybot will though.

Ah HA! So that's the case.

Er, actually that was bad wording on my part - the new version isn't out yet (in beta now I believe), when it is it will check mozilla cookies, among other new features and such - the author's working on it, which is why people who use it (I use both it and adaware) may have noticed the lack of updates the past few months.

Anyway, use firefox and you'll have no problems

No thanks, I use IE and I never have any problems with spyware, hijackers or any other crap you people seem to get on a daily basis.

uh-huh....go run adaware and tell me if you get anything over 1 file.

firefox has NEVER gotten ONE spyware file.

I do... and I don't. So fvck you.

holy damn you're an idiot.

HE'S an idiot because YOU can't keep spyware off your computer???

Holy damn, talk about transferance...

...I said he's an idiot because he said, "fvck you" to me for no reason. It's not about the computer.

Adaware finds nothing with firefox.

I can set IE to stop all cookies too. But that stops saved passwords and website prefs as well.

The cookies are basically harmless.
You can set your security to high and then set IE to make exceptions individually for each web site you go to regularly which needs cookie acceptance to let you access it.

I purposely tried to go to many different sites and I picked up a few cookies from porn sites. The spyware scanned and deleted it.

So it already works, and it was already at 0 before. woooo!
