26 computers! Indeed!

Take a break my good man, take a break. (Then come back with a vengeance.)

And I thought I had a few computers... (well, really, not compared to any of the leading people on the TeAm...) But I can imagine, right?

(I think I had 18 cores at one point going.)

Wow. 26 computers. And I thought I had a lot! 114 cores... I think I had 50 at most running F@H (though most had hyper threading so virtual cores were around 70 or so).

Take a break petrus and enjoy a new system. I have to say, dual socket systems with GPU s are very fun. I have my dual E5520's (QC 2.26GHz w/ HyperThreading) on a SuperMicro X8DTH-6F motherboard, good for 7 full-size x16 PCIe slots, each 8x electrically.

I may very well go for one high-end, dual socket, dual or triple GPU-system. Depends on how much I sell my old systems for ... but it will be fun to plan, build and OC such a system.

Late to the party but still have the same sentiment as others have expressed. Sad to see you cut back, but glad you'll be sticking around and will be enjoying life and family more. With the amount of time and work you've provided the team you deserve a vacation. I sometimes feel like my hobby is becoming a job, so I can imagine that with maintaining that many computers it became more of a chore instead of a joy. When you decide to come back the technology will more powerful and efficient that it will feel like a whole new era.
