I'll get it for pc but I wish I had a new GPU to play it all maxed out. I would get it for console but to hell with that since they didn't make use of the new gen console features at launch.

Those are coming sometime in 2021 lol.

Realistically, I fully expect the game to be perfectly good, but still be brigaded to hell and back for not meeting people's now bizarre and unrealistic expectations of the game. I've seen all sorts of out there stuff where people expect the game to be like a second life where they can get married and have babies, then cybernetically modify the babies and all kinds of really just insane stuff.

I expect a lot of "I waited 10 years for THIS?!"

This game will never live up to the hype it has built over the years from all the delays. It will be a good game I'm sure, but no way will it meet everyone's expectations. I'm not expecting much but a good story and cool gameplay as shown in most demos by now.

GoG also has the most user-friendly ownership policy for their games. It's why I buy from them whenever possible.

Holy FOMO. You guys really have to get the game on release date, or god knows what happens. You could die!! You could be scarred for life, traumatized.
It's been in production for 4 years. You can't wait 1 more month? I could understand if this was a grindy multiplayer game, but that doesn't even come out until 2022.

They are promoting this thing HARD to two demographics.

Preload on GoG galaxy can be started today. Will probably start mine after I log off for work. It's about 55Gb and then on day one another 44gb patch lol.

I think I'm going to wait until after the next PoE league to get this. Should be around first or second week in February. Hopefully most of the big release issues are patched by then. It'll also give me time to decide if I want to buy a 3080 or not.

Curious if RT Ultra @4k means at least 60fps on a 3080. If it can do that, then my HTPC will be happy and the 3090 in my desktop should have no problem.

RT Ultra at 4k native looks unplayable on a 3080. Needs DLSS “performance” mode which is 1080p rendering to approach 50+fps average. That’s probably how I’ll play it.

That's just crushing to the soul. Will need a few more generations of hardware to run this game in all it's glory.
