Sort of, they're still getting paid hourly. And no one should seriously take a telemarketing job thinking that they're going to roll in the $$$ from commission. If you're that good at sales go to a car lot.

Funny, I NEVER get any telemarketing calls at home. Of course, the number is unlisted and every database in existence has the second line at the shop listed as my home number.

But I don't think you'll risk any fear of a sexual harassment charge. After all, they called you (obviously expressing some interest in talking to you!) You're just responding in kind. Unless they say no. We all know that &quot;No&quot; means &quot;No!&quot;, at which point you are free to end the relationship and hang up.

haha I Had ATT call to try to get me to switch long distance &amp; that they could beat any competitors rates... I Said so your gonna pay me to use att, he said excuse me, I Said so your gonna pay me to use your long distance, he said no sir nobody will pay you to use there service. I Said yes sir MCI Worldcom Does. He Said I Was Full of it, so I Politely demanded a supervisor &amp; Than Proceeded to chew the supervisor's ass for about 5 min &amp; Told them that if I Ever recieved another call from ATT regarding my long distance than I Would sue for harassment &amp; I Demanded a hard copy of there phone list to call so I Could verify that I Was no longer on it.... Well They Dont Call anymore, But I Never Got the List...


MCI Worldcom Called to get me to change my long distance carrier to them (since for some reason it diddnt show that I Was already using them)...
them: I Was wanting to talk with you about some specials we have going on if you sighn up with us this month.
me: Look I'm Not interested I am an employee of MCI Worldcom &amp; I Guarantee that I Get paid more than you &amp; That I Get a better plan to begin with than you do.
tham: just kept on babbleing about the plans
me: Hey (no responce) Hey (no responce) HEY!!!
them: oh sorry sir what was that.
me: I WOrk For MCI Worldcom I Already have MCI as my long distance carrier &amp; I am Not interested in paying more for less of a package.
them: oh I am Sorry Thank YOu

I can sniff an autodialer just when I pick up the phone...you kinda hear a crackle and I just hang it up...before they even start talking. OR, if I get a real person on the line I like to use the ol &quot;Hello? Hello? Can you hear me? *bang phone on table a few times* Hello? Damnit if this is you kids playing around on the phone again SO HELP ME!&quot; - by then they usually hang up or else I just get tired and hang up myself. I NEVER interact directly with them as that is just an invitation for their spiel.

I think I am going to start saying &quot;Yeah I'll get him&quot; and then just walk away. That way I consume more of THEIR time.
