Open up your fraps program and look and see what your screenshot hotkey is.

Well, Half-life 2 runs fine with those settings... Unless this uses a different HDR method? :frown:

BTW, the game looks absolutely gorgeous based on the screenshots. A notch above Oblivion, in my opinion.

Just in case you guys want some fun with the demo. It tells you how to get all the weapons and spells.

And most of all it start right after where you finish the demo, so you get to fight the boss!

One thing, if i read it right somewhere, to take down the boss you have to use the objects around you and you have to take out its eye or something (just a tip)

I've really been looking forward to this game since they said they weren't going to use starforce. But after getting a 1680x1050 monitor...it looks like I might want to do a little upgrading first. Just as well, its an ubisoft title so it'll be ubibugged for a little while anyway.

If this game is so good, why have I not heard anything about it until now? Oblivion was talked about non-stop and people were raving and even the official thread is some 1100+ posts... But this? This is the first I ever really heard of it. Yet, here people are even saying that the graphics are better and a notch above oblivion, or at the very least, on par with it.

I am just curious as well... I might pick it up once I learn some more about it. I used to play the M & M III, IV and whatever else, but they were always sub-par graphics IMO. The screenshots look nice... But with it being source, are we going to see "LOADING" every few steps of the game?

The game hasn't really had much press, at least not that I've seen. I some how stumbled onto its website early this year, I think while trying to find HOMM4 for my wife. It looked pretty cool and I was immediately excited about it from the gameplay videos. And it said release of summer 2006. I just assumed it was delayed past that and they were just waiting until the last second to change its ETA like most places do, because I'd heard NOTHING about it. Usually that close to release everyone is blabbing about it and there's ads for it all over the place. Now its in demo form and aside from going to the official forums and a handful of mentions in forums like here I still haven't heard much about it. Its odd, but maybe they're trying a more grass roots marketing campaign for it.

Its a FPS with some RPG elements that seems to take place is your more standard caverns...oblivion does a lot of stuff that hasn't been done (well) before with their forests and mountains...so I don't really think its fair to compare the two on the same level. Its a lot easier to up the detail on stuff when you don't have to worry about rendering a detailed forest and ruined city way off in the background.

Yes, you can force AFR thru the drivers, but that doesn't necessarily mean that AFR will always work. And that bit of info you so conveniently glossed over was explicitly mentioned by ATi in the PR related to this.

ok update i like this game. i can play 10x8 all high and all low.

all high 20-25 frames very playable somehow.
all low 25-35 frames.

damn this x1400 aint bad at all.
