Dark videos for some reason, HELP!!

Hi all, for some reason videos generally appear very dark on my monitor even though websites are bright. Changing monitor settings doesn't seem to help, and in fact changing settings has absolutely zero effect on videos watched directly through netflix. I can't even imagine how to begin to fix this. Any ideas?

Sounds like its a problem with netflix and not your system.

it depends a lot on the video player software you're using.

Check the overlay settings for your video card, usually in the display properties. There you can adjust things like brightness and contrast of videos without affecting the rest of the system
