I have a SiL 680r raid controller card with 2 200gb WD harddrives in a raid 0 setup and Windows XP. Recently I got a warning upon starting my computer that there was a possible corruption or something on the harddrive and it needed to run scan disk. After it did that I logged in and my profile was completely reset. The desktop was restored to factory default and the worst part was all the music, several gigs, in the My Music folder was gone. Is there any way for me to recover this data? I've tried system restore and while that brought back my desktop the music is still all gone. Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, this is the truth. Your best options are (a) to abondon [R]AID 0 (possibly for RAID 1), and/or (b) backup often.

If you have a single point of failure, you will lose data. It is not if, it's when. A [R]AID 0 array should never have important data, and important data should always have a backup elsewhere.

As we tell the people here at work, if you keep it on your workstation hard drive (and not on the server - which is backed up nightly) & you do not do your own backup & you loose your drive, then you are SOL.

Hope you have a backup ???

Raid 0 description
Disadvantages: The failure of just one drive will result in all data in an array being lost.

I typically recommend these recovery tools for a single hard drive failure. It is possible one of these companies possesses a raid reconstruction utility.
Here are some utilities to try
1) R-Studio
2) GetDataBack
3) Ontrack's Easy Recovery Pro
4) Quetek
5) File Scavenger

Runtime.org possesses a Raid Reconstructor that will probably help you. Many people have had success with Runtime's GetDataBack but this is my first time for hearing someone require help with a raid array.
