This program is a MUST watch.

And as a general rule...any email I recieve from scammers, I reply back in attempt to scam them.

I've even had one call my cellphone last summer talking about the usual "needing account to transfer money, and you'll get money back tactic"
I told him "I gave the money to your associate"
He replied "My associate?"
I replied "Yes"
He said "What was the transaction #?"
I said "2346582645745457" (made up numbers)
He said "I'll look into it"
I said "OK"...Click.

I was expecting him to call back so I'll get my refund, but he didn't.
There were some funny MSNBC Nigerian scamming videos I saw last month and could have posted them here, but can't find them now

Yes, I need to remember to watch it.

If you suspect fraud you simply cannot accept any crap from the buyer. If they are not confirmed with paypal do not ship. If there ebay and paypal address don't match up don't ship. Make sure you insure the package. Offers to pay extra for shipping to a foreign country 99.9% scam.

You can get your money back on a listing where you think the buyer is a scammer. You file a complaint with ebay and months later jumping through hoops can get your final value fee back. Your listing fee which is usually small is lost though.

I think it happened right around the same time my ninth (literally) E-Bay auction ended with some random Nigerian bidding 300 dollars above whatever it was was worth and sending me some screaming, rambling letter about how his son needed it to cure AIDS with back in his home country.

They apparently teach classes in Nigerian Night School on how to rip off people online (again, not joking), which is pretty amazing considering the same form letter has been in use for 90% of their scams for like 10 years. Stupid Nigerians.

I have a Zimbabwean friend, a Tanzanian friend, and an Ethiopian friend who all consider Nigerians to be dishonest/scum of Africa/etc. They call them "those f-ing Nigerians".
