I don't think there is anything wrong with dating a guy younger but keep in mind that he's 19 years old. He's a sophomore in college and his goals are probably different than yours, at the moment. Being in the dorms, he'll be exposed to many people (specifically, girls) so just don't get hurt in the end. You can't always be there for him (working full-time), whereas some girl at school or in the dorms can. If you were 27 and he was 23 and out of college, I would say it's relatively safe but your situation I worry about.

As for him being 19... at first, he told me he was. And yesterday, it turns out he'll be 19 in a month... and for whoever asked, yes, I "ID-ed" him. He was born December 7, 1984.
I don't know where she is since I transfered to another school a year later. But I would assume we would be. I used to think that I got more out of it than she did. Yet as I grow older, I see she got a lot out of it, too. And I'm thinking yours is a very lucky guy.

Wow. 1984. Lesseehere, in 1984 I was...
Nevermind.

Just look at it this way ... while he's partying at a frat party/sorority party getting friendly with a girl on Thursday night, you'll be at home getting ready to sleep to work the next day.

I say all this because I've seen/heard what goes on while the girlfriend's away and it ain't pretty.

We actually talked about that. The weekend before we met, he was at a frat party "getting drunk and kissing girls." However, if what he's told me holds true, he takes relationships more seriously and has never cheated on a girlfriend. He seems to be the relationship-type, and has been terribly cutesy/cuddly/puppy-dog-eyed as of late. He's incredibly enthusiastic about everything, and at one point, I told him if he wants to go hook up with cute sorority girls instead of being with a 23-year-old grad, just tell me and I'll let him go/we can stay friends. He looked puzzled, said he wasn't interested, and admitted he hadn't even though of hooking up with anyone else since we started seeing each other (which REALLY hasn't even been that long, but maybe he gets attached more quickly than most?). Anyway... all I have is his word for now, and he seems very sincere. If it works out, fabulous... if it doesn't, at least I'll have a skiing buddy this winter.

interesting tidbit...the way I found out about this board is that I guy I dated posted a YAGT about me, cause I was older than him. funny.

really? you were dating a member?!? where is the thread?

ehh, I don't know about that. I was a lot more serious about sex when I was a 18 than now. At that age, there was still a bit of mystique left.

I haven't brought it up yet, but I will when I feel it's the right time.

Remember no nookie..Him being a college guy might be a no no.

Only problem I see is him being under the age of 21. I thought everyone in college had fake id's (not that I would recommend it since it is illegal and is a very bad thing )

My wife was born in 1969 and I was born in 1973. I was still in Junior High while she was in college. She graduated when she was 16...and of course we did not meet until I was 24. Until her I was dating women solely on maturity not so much age. If I wanted just sex and nothing more, someone 10 years older or 3 years younger, anything else was for sex, fun and a long term relationship

That is some funny stuff

Classic Skoorb...

As for finding things to do together, I've been scoping out 18+ places... it's definitely limiting, but I'm sure we'll find things to get ourselves into. Museums, aquariums, zoo's, Speedzone, restaurants, etc... there are a few 18+ clubs we may venture into together at some point... do you have any other suggestions on where to go/what to do if your s/o is underage? I think this is a good thing, as it'll keep me away from Vegas for awhile... he was joking that when we go to Tahoe to ski together, he'll sit and wait in the kiddie room while I gamble.

There's always Chucky Cheese.

LOL... boo... boo to that. I think I'm definitely going to try and arrange an ATOT meetup one Thursday night... perhaps we can all go grab a bite to eat or a boba before seeing the show.

Minus the rain it was an awesome show. Didn't hurt that they're cool enough to come out for the encore dressed as The Village People (It was Halloween).

I saw this as a hot topic and thought, ah she must be like 35 or so.

23!!! LOL! No problems there.

Come on now, nothing wrong with dating a 19 year old at all.

Odds are you two would get along better when he is 23 and you are 27 though. He will be past a lot of that younger, wilder stage that we guys do enjoy.

Does he seem mature.. beyond his cartoon fetish?

Just don't get hurt is all I'm saying. At least he's honest about what he has done in the past but when you two are official and he does this again, you'll take the news with more than just a grain of salt. Where there are frat parties, there are girls and alcoholic beverages. He may strike again.

Go with Gabriel, atleast he is honest to you.
He has admitted that he cheated on past girlfriends, but he also said he is trying to change (or did i read that wrong?).
He also admitted to being a nerd and liking D&D and computers and what not, instead of the surfer/trainer/jock image he puts on.

Kyle on the other hand LIED to you about his age. He is also probably lying to you about other things, I mean seriously, if you are looking to flat out get laid, you aren't going to tell a girl that you cheat on your girlfriends. He could be lying about that, I'm sure you gets some sorta points for being 18 and banging a 23 year old.
