I did not see this coming at all.
Millennials raise their voices!
I did not see this coming at all.
Is this garbage real? Keep it on standard time year round. So stupid.
I looked at it, and it leaves a provision for states on permanent Standard time to stay there...I'm fer it. Functionally, it would put me on Pacific time and therefore an hour further from corporate headquarters.
Yes, this great idea does appear to be real, and Standard time can eat my whole ass.Is this garbage real? Keep it on standard time year round. So stupid.
Daylight savings time year round is so much better! It would be great to be able to do things in the evening most of the year (as it is, it is dark by the time I get home for ~5 months each year). Who would want the sun up before 5 AM in summer if we kept standard time year round? Is this garbage real? Keep it on standard time year round. So stupid.
Hell no.
I want more daylight year round when I get home from work. Not when I get up in the morning and go to work
How ever will you till and plant your fields, or milk your cows? By candlelight??? *scoffs*Daylight savings time year round is so much better! I wrote a "cool thing of the day" script that depended on server time. The problem was my webhost didn't necessarily update the server time in a timely fashion and the script would break twice a year. I ended up with two versions, one for DST and one for standard time, that I would have to manually swap out twice a year to keep it running.I have zero cares about which they choose, just pick one and make sure the fucking computers keep up with the changes.
This is why computing is supposed to use UTC.I wrote a "cool thing of the day" script that depended on server time. It would have been nice. This is why computing is supposed to use UTC.
Long time ago I had to code a time stamp function in Word VBA to insert GMT. Couldn’t figure out a way to calculate the time delta from our time zone to GMT during the 1 hour “fall back” so I literally just had it ask the user.I wrote a "cool thing of the day" script that depended on server time. a true bipartisan topic! stop the madness. DST fo eva!
I think voting for Hitler or Trump solely to end DST is far more insane than observing DST.I always said, if Donald Trump ran his campaign on this one idea/promise alone, I'd vote for the SOB regardless of my politics, or his.
Hell. I'd vote for Adolf Hitler if he promised this, and was still alive.
When it comes to insanity, and DST was and is total insanity, changing ones clock(s) back and forth back and forth year after year over and over has been about the dumbest thing every devised by the US government. And it sure proved just how ass-backwards our government is, was, still is. Talk about mass Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Daylights Savings Time was the mother of all Obsessive Compulsive Disorder's.
I am soooooo glad to see this finally stopped in my lifetime. I just wish someone ANYONE would have ended DST long ago when I was 30 years younger, then.... I would have owned even more clocks.
Hell. I'd vote for Adolf Hitler if he promised this, and was still alive.
