DD-WRT and Bandwidth Monitoring

I just set up a WRT54GS with DD-WRT on it for my fraternity house. We are using it for the traffic shaping capabilities, and I want to monitor bandwidth usage per IP. I tried using WRTbwlog, but that only shows totals, not divided by clients (as far as I can tell).

Does anyone know of an application for DD-WRT that allows me to do this?

you might look at an off router solution, MRTG would show a per port (and works with many snmp devices) or NTOP with a hub or port monitoring.

Well, the purpose of this router was to keep costs low. So anything that runs on the router, no matter how simple (even a command line app is fine).

We just need to know which brother might be sucking up the bandwidth.

mrtg will run on linux (even 2K, iirc, never tried) if your router supports SNMP, but that is a port by port basis. btw, linux is REALLY cheap, find an old box and set it up as a transparant proxy, I think squid will report stuff too.

I'd suggest using ntop with the rflow app that is built into dd-wrt. You can run an ntop server from a windows machine but you have to pay to get precompiled windows binaries. Otherwise its free as in beer if you run it under linux.

Also, I should point out that the dd-wrt guys released their own rflow collector program for windows. Only problem is it is in german but you can still see what ip is using how much bandwidth.
