DDR 3200 Locked at 333

Hi all

I am currently running my Asus-A8n Sli @270x9HTTx3 Memory locked @333 and all is fine.

My question is if the Mem is locked at 333 does it stay exactly at 333 when I push the FSB and HT?

I ask cause I want to see if I can push my ram a bit higher and want to make sure I don't stress ir too much.

On most mobo's you can not lock down the Mem Frequecy. As you increase the LDT bus, the Mem frequency will increase the same amount as the LDT bus increase, times the ram divider ratio.

Maybe your board has a way to automatically keep the Mem Frequecy constant as you increase the LDT for overclocking your CPU, but I never herd of any option like that, but i am a newb to overclocking so you may be right.

If you put the memory at the "166" or "333" setting, that's just running a 5:6 divider for you. Same goes for the other memory settings.
