ddr vs rambus ?

having built and overclocked AMD systems, I'm looking to do the same with a P4 system.Looking at 2.26 Northwood,ATA 133,533 fsb.The boards that meet my need are about $80-$120 for ddr support and $160 and up for rambus supported board.My question is: will rambus performance be worth the extra money put into the board and memory? Checked search engines and can't find anything that clearly tells me. What's your opinion/experience ? thanks in advance....

Depends on how much money you want to spend on memory. Rambus will give you greater performance but with that extra money. You are the one to decide if it is worth it you are spending not me. Personaly i went with DDR.

648 chipset boards out this week (support for ddr400 and serial ATA),more Intel price cuts in Sept., maybe I'll wait another month or 2

rambus very worth for the performance, i have seen many rambus reviews and they always the best.
yes that's right rambus a bit pricey BUT you get what you pay!!
make sure you go with rambus pc1066.
