the survey took about 3 min. But most likely will never wear the cap - maybe my kids will or I'll sell it a a yard sale for a 10 cents

I just did it.. I think we will get them.... The people doing the survey most likely won't know or care...

What I find funny is weather or not we get the caps, in a month or three there will be a conference room full of Castrol execs going over survey data. The whole time thinking that they will be getting the scoop on how well their resellers like their product. What they will really be looking at is how well a bunch of anandtechers could randomly click the choices in order to get a baseball cap...


I didn't tell them that I only use Mobil1 Synthetic...

Castrol is crap oil. Syntec is not even truly synthetic. It's made of the same base stock that most companies are NOT passing off as "synthetic", and charge only 1/3 as much for it as Castrol charges for Syntec. They're a bunch of sleazeballs.

Maybe coincidental, but I HAD been running Castrol "GTX" motor oil in my car for many years. My gf has an identical car, very close in mileage, and has been running cheap-o generic Wal-Mart SuperTech motor oil. In the past year, my car developed low oil pressure problems. Hmmmm.
